Electroless nickel plant
Electroless nickel deposits a hard, uniform, corrosion-resistant coating by chemical reduction rather than applied current — so the finish follows every surface of the component evenly. Beckox fabricates the process plant the chemistry depends on: heated tanks, filtration, extraction and controls.
What makes electroless nickel different
Because deposition is driven by a chemical reaction rather than an electrical field, coating thickness stays uniform across complex geometries — bores, recesses and edges that electroplating struggles to cover evenly. The finish is hard-wearing and gives excellent corrosion protection, which is why the process is a staple in aerospace, defence and precision engineering.
The plant behind the chemistry
The process is demanding on its equipment: solutions run hot, chemistry must be tightly controlled, and continuous filtration is needed to keep the bath stable. Tanks, heater guards, filtration pipework and extraction all need to withstand that duty for years. We fabricate complete electroless nickel installations — tanks, pipework, extraction hoods and ducting, control panels and bunded flooring — matched to the bath sizes and throughput the plater specifies.
- Heated process tanks with guarded elements and level control
- Continuous filtration pipework and pump sets
- Lip extraction and ducting to scrubber plant
- Rinse cascades, drag-out recovery and effluent connections
- Bunded containment and GRP access walkways
